Established in 1997, The 905 Café has been a family-owned part of the heartbeat of Downtown Melbourne for nearly three decades. Originally located at 905 East New Haven Avenue, the café took its name from its address — right in the middle of Melbourne’s historic downtown.
Home Away From Home
From its earliest days, The 905 quickly became known as a warm neighborhood spot where locals, students, and downtown workers could gather over coffee, pastries, and conversation. Famous for its Brie Apple Nut Melt on a buttery croissant, the café built a reputation for unique, comforting flavors alongside its welcoming atmosphere.
New Location
In 2020, The 905 Café moved just across the street to its current home at 908 East New Haven Avenue, continuing its tradition as a family-run, welcoming downtown gathering place.
